
About the Japanese Alps
The Japanese Alps are incredibly scenic and dynamic mountain ranges that reach heights of over 3,000m and feature a dazzling number and variety of easily accessed trails that are still almost completely overlooked by international tourists. They provide the perfect setting to immerse yourself in Japan’s pristine natural landscapes while offering a unique perspective into Japanese culture.
The often steep and rocky trails here in the Alps are a fantastic place to test your fitness and technical prowess. The sky is the limit… and the setting for your Japanese alpine adventure.
About the trip
This seven day adventure with six days on trails is perfect for anyone wanting a true trail running trip. We will be traversing from hut to hut each day along the ridge of the Northern Alps range. It’s an intense but fun adventure. That said, you need to be in good shape for these mountains.
The small group includes one local guide and a representative from ROAM. The daily mileage will average between 7-13 miles for a total of 45 miles. Total elevation range during the trip is ~17K feet with descent of ~20K feet. This is the trip for anyone that wants a great running trip in an epicly beautiful location! Join us August 2027.
